Pearls are a gem unlike any other. They are not mined from the earth, but instead are harvested from the sea by pearl farmers. They don't dazzle like gemstones, but glow softly from within. 

We sought out pearls at their Origins, and created Oceana Pearls after discovering the amazing potential that Pearls have for connecting and creating opportunities for  communities around the world.

The "O" that is engraved within each of our pieces, is a testament, a physical a hallmark of our journey into our world of pearls.

Environment and Community:

We believe that responsible pearl farms act to conserve marine environments, as only undisturbed marine environments provide the right natural conditions to produce the best quality pearls. This means that when conducted in a sustainable manner, pearl farming provides real benefits for remote communities for generations to come.

Ethically Traded:

Oceana is proud to source our pearls at fair market value from our partners through a competitive and transparent auction exchange where our partner pearl farmers are paid the true market price for their pearls. This replaces the old method of sourcing, in which a system of brokers and middle men were incentivized to obscure farmers from knowing the true value of their harvests.

Transparent and traceable to source:

Knowledge is power. By sourcing exclusively from our pearl farm partners, we are able to know and trace the source of each of our pearls to its true origins. Increased transparency encourages accountability and more sustainable pearl production and helps educates people on the value that pearl farmers bring to their communities.

Use of Precious Metals and Gems:

What you put in is what you get out. To craft our pieces, we use precious metals such as gold and sterling silver from recyclable sources when ever possible. For our stones, we made the choice to use precious and semiprecious stones that are sourced from our trusted suppliers who to ensure that they are from conflict free sources. We also have made the commitment to never use non renewable marine materiel, such as coral in any of our pieces.
